8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher

ACUTE delivers training in English and participants need to demonstrate an independent understanding and comprehension of the course content to successfully complete the training.

Time: 8:00am – 5.00pm

Prerequisites: 40-Hour HAZWOPER

Note: Participants must wear appropriate CSA footwear.

Program Content

Every year after the initial 40-hour HAZWOPER training requirement has been met, workers who wish to maintain a current certification under the HAZWOPER standard must be updated. This training program meets the requirements outlined in OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 for 8 (eight) hours of annual refresher training. The training program is composed of topics and can be customized to focus on topics that pertain to workplace hazards for workers associated with hazardous waste / materials operations. You will learn by:

• Classroom interaction with experienced instructors

• Demonstration and hands-on training in the care and use of equipment
• Detailed handouts, videos and quizzes

Who should enroll in this training program?

The 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher is offered to those who wish to maintain a current 29 CFR 1910.120 HAZWOPER certification.
