A respirator can only protect you if it is properly fitted to your face.

Why You Need Respiratory Protection Training

According to the Government of Ontario, O. Reg. 833, if you are unable to protect your workers from exposure to a hazardous biological or chemical agent, then you need to provide them with a respirator that is appropriate to the situation they are working in.

In addition to providing your workers with respirators, you must:

  • Set up written procedures and protocols surrounding the selection, maintenance, and use of respirators
  • Provide proper training and instruct your workers about the care and use of the respirators before they use them
  • Ensure that your respirators are well-maintained and kept in good condition
  • Appoint a respiratory protection program administrator

Who Should Enrol in Respiratory Protection Training?

Respiratory protection training will benefit you if you are an employer, supervisor, or worker who uses respiratory protective equipment in your workplace. In addition, if you are a member of your Joint Health & Safety Committee or if you want to increase your knowledge in respiratory protective equipment and programs, this training will be great for you.

Not only has respiratory protection been extremely important for many workers during the recent COVID-19 pandemic, but it is also necessary at other times, especially in healthcare settings, construction projects, and confined spaces.

What our customers are saying…

Jody:

“By far the best place for training. They offer several different types of training and are very professional.

I have been doing my joint health and safety committee training this week and could not be more satisfied. Patrick has been teaching the class and he’s an awesome teacher. He’s funny, knowledgeable and cares about what he’s teaching. So many classes like these can be boring and drag on but tomorrow is day 5 and I feel like the week flew by.”

L S:

“We were referred to ACUTE on behalf of our employer for an n95 mask fitting – the staff here are professional, personable, and informative.

I’d come back here for any safety-related training in a heartbeat.”
