ACUTE delivers training in English and participants need to demonstrate an independent understanding and comprehension of the course content to successfully complete the training.
Time: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm – Participants should arrive 15 minutes prior to training.
Full-Day: Participants must be present for the full day of training.
Prerequisites: Working at Heights is a prerequisite.
Note: This course replaces the 3M 6603 Technical Rescue Level 1 course. There will be a transition period.
What to Wear: The course includes hands-on use and wearing of fall protection equipment. You will be wearing a full-body harness for a portion of the course. Please wear comfortable clothing and safety footwear.
Program Content
No fall arrest system is complete without the ability to promptly retrieve any worker who may become suspended in their system. Reliance upon outside emergency rescue agencies may create unnecessary and dangerous delays. This one-day practical course is designed to provide students with the rescue fundamentals to retrieve a suspended worker in a typical situation. The program will examine simple rescue tools, techniques, and will include the development of a proper rescue plan framework.
