Working At Heights Refreshers: 3 Things You Must Know

1. When you need to take it

According to the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development, the introductory Working at Heights refresher is “valid for three years from the date of successful completion of an approved program.”

Therefore, in order to maintain the validity of your certification, take a refresher course from an approved provider within three years of the date of successfully completing the program.

As a reminder, Ontario Regulation 213/91 – Construction Projects states that Working at Heights training is mandatory if you are a construction project worker and if you will use any of the following:

  • Travel restraint system
  • Fall restricting system
  • Fall arrest system
  • Safety net
  • Work belt OR safety belt

If you don’t work in construction but you work in industrial, mining, or healthcare sectors, you will also find the content comprehensive and relevant to your workplace.

Construction workers must take Working at Heights refreshers every 3 years.

2. What you will learn
