“I work at the University of Guelph as an arborist. Ron Campbell provided a small socially distanced group and myself with working at heights training. Ron has a wealth of knowledge and kept everyone engaged with many “real life” examples of working at heights scenarios and facts. We have also received elevated work platform training with Patrick from Acute training. Patrick is also a very friendly, knowledgeable and engaging professional trainer. I truly believe that the best trainers are those with practical experience and the trainers at Acute have that locked down.”

“Yesterday at my townhouse condo complex there was a contractor on the roof, easily 30ft in air, not tied off with a harness on, using a leaf blower to clean gutters while walking around on the sloped roof right at the edge. I spoke to his helper first saying what is he tied off to? He said “they tried”. When he tried to come to my house and attached roofs, I told him I didn’t want him on my roof. I was able to convince him not to do the work without temporary/permanent anchors or any other way to do the work safely. Obviously he wasn’t aware until I clarified what would happen if he got hurt or killed. (Hefty MLITSD fines, lawsuits etc.)
I am certain this work was done last year as well at my house, but I was also not aware of the risks and ignored it, I am happy I am now aware of these things. ACUTE provided great theory and practical training (even with COVID protocols).”
